Ok, well, I can't just use "self explanatory" here.
Questions? Please check the FAQ. We get asked "Why can't I spawn my homemade bomb/car/mom/truck/etc." very often.
You see someone breaking the rules? Please file a report in the Discord server.
Just because something isn't in the rules doesn't mean it's allowed (such as spamming the chat)
Is my house too laggy for the server? Should I or should I not use it? Can I improve it by reducing lag? etc.
This does not apply when you or someone does this on accident, but it must not be repeated.
FRP includes, but is not limited to:
- repeatedly spawning in front of someone
- interrupting an in-game incident, such as an accident
- Spawning an extremely huge vehicle that does not belong in a City RP (the snake on the image to the left for example)
IMPORTANT: A vehicle must be street legal (Blinkers, taillights, reverse lights, headlights, License plates). You will not be kicked for a vehicle not having these things, but a cop has the right to pull you over for your vehicle not being up to code.
Also, we won't care if you drive a banana, but if you are using a custom vehicle please make sure it's not obnoxious for the rest of the users in the server. If this is the case, staff will ask you to get another vehicle or kick you.
This also applies to the rules board (if there is one spawned).
Doing so will result in a kick
Including, but limited to:
- Using the console or other modification in a way that negatively affects the users and/or the server.
- using any of our servers/services to distribute viruses and/or scam links.
Applies to all servers. Including but NOT limited to:
Posting NSFW content in our Discord server.
Spawning an innapropiate vehicle/item in-game.
Having an inappropiate username.
Including but not limited to:
Vehicles/creations that instantly destroy the city
lag machines
buffer-overflow machines (causes players to disconnect)
Bombs that flood the map with debris.
Using hooks to take down the server.
Exessive amonuts of stacked Horns/thrusters.
Lights with an excessive amount of brightness (such as a flashbang, with or without a light pattern, such as strobe)
WE WILL NOT HESITATE TO BAN PLAYERS WHO SPAWN A FLASHBANG, SINCE IT WILL PHYSICALLY HARM ANY PLAYER(S) WHO SUFFER FROM SEIZURES/EPILEPSY. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
And before you start ranting, yes, we are aware that the game comes with a photosensitivity warning when you start it. Even if it doesn't cause any seizures, a flashbang is still a powerful troll creation that disrupts RP.
If you are asked to remove your vehicle due to lag, remove it or make it less laggy by modifing it.
Military Vehicles can be used, however you may not cause havoc with them, such as destroying the city.
If your vehicle has de-syncing issues, please re-spawn it. If the issue persists, remove it and use another vehicle.
Note: this was a bug in the Legacy version of the game, this will be updated if this issue is gone.
BRAF (Brick Rigs Armed Forces) proffesion/team is for staff only. Do not join these proffesions. Doing so will result in a kick.
If someone has purposely abandoned a vehicle, please remove it. This helps decrease the lag on the server.
Note: The server
automatically
removes abandoned vehicles every 10 minutes because of this.
If not enough players are around to RP, or if everyone in the server is bored, then eveyone is free to mess around for a bit until more players come in.
However, if you do so, please use common sense. We tend to be laid back (hence this rule), but nothing is perfect (see rule 0). Therefore, we ask you mess around in a way that will not negatively affect players and the server.

Cop HandbookSeriously, don't be a jerk. We do not tolerate this behaviour and we'll kick you on-sight.
However, I will make exceptions to users purposely trying to crash the server.
NOTE: If the troll(s) manage to crash the server, the server will automatically restart within a few minutes.
NOTE 2: This does not apply when you are role-playing as a dis-respectful person in-game.

If no police/ambulance/tow truck/Airport Control tower/etc. are available (by "available" I mean if no one wants to RP as one or when people are offline, aka server is empty) then any incidents that occur can end instantly.
If this happens, and you get into an accident, you can re-spawn. For the AP Control tower, just pretend it responded. If possible, coordinate with other players.
If not enough Police units are online, then Peace time is in effect. During Peace time, crimes can not be commited. Some minor speeding is ok. however, going at insane amount of speeds, robbing players/buildings, etc. won't be allowed until the Police and online players are online.
Impersonating anyone (including staff) is not allowed. However:
If you are going to impersonate someone as a joke ("SalC2", "FitBR", etc.) make sure it's obvious that it's still you.
Planes are an exception unless if the noise is truly excessive
If you are running a border RP, you must not leave it unnatended. If you need to go AFK, Leave the gates open. If you need/want to leave the server, ask if someone else wants to take over the control of the border, if not, remove it.
Vehicles that are too big for the border can teleport past the border or if the gates do not open due to desync.
Emergency vehicles (Police, Fire trucks, Ambulances, etc.) have the right to bypass the border when they are responding to an incident. Server staff also reserve the right to bypass the border regardless if there is an incident or not.
NOTE: It is NOT FRP if a player bypasses the border. It's a law and it's part of RPing
If you spawn a building, you must pin it in order to reduce lag.
Also, even if buildings are pinned, a building can still create lag. For example, a building could have excessive lighting and/or bricks on it that makes users around it lag.
Note: don't hold down the "U" key, it will pin actuators, instead, press it once, and then hold "I" to make the building invincible.
Due to current limitations (specifically, bricksville not being big enough to have dedicated land, and the fact that this is a 24/7 server), it is currently not possible to have land claims. However, you can have temporary land claims.
Temporary land claims are handled in a first-come first-serve basis. After five minutes pass since the land holder logs off, the land becomes vacant. The landlord is allowed to transfer ownership to someone else before logging off.
Do not attempt to claim parts of land that are government property (Including, but not limited to, Airports) and/or huge pieces of land.
